Nigeria’s D’Tigers are set to clash with Cameroon’s Indomitable Lions in a high-stakes showdown in Group B of the 2025 FIBA AfroBasket tournament.

What’s at Stake

Both teams are undefeated in Group B and this game will determine the group winner. The winner advances directly to the quarterfinals, while the loser finishes second and must face the third-place team from Group A.

Head-to-Head & Stats

Historically, Nigeria leads their AfroBasket head-to-head 2–1. However, Cameroon pulled off a memorable upset in the 2009 quarterfinals, knocking Nigeria out 84–80.

Cameroon enters the match as the second-highest scoring team, averaging 83 points per game, while Nigeria is just behind at 82 points per game.

Rebounding is another key metric: Cameroon is averaging 46 rebounds per game, compared to Nigeria’s 42.5.

In summary: It’s a must-watch fixture—two dominant, evenly matched teams going head-to-head. The winner secures a smoother path to the quarters; the loser still has a shot but must take a tougher route
