In a heartwarming display of international kindness, the Bridge of Faith Foundation, a New Jersey-based non-profit, is forging a powerful connection between the United States and Nigeria through humanitarian efforts.

A Vision Born in Nigeria

Founded 17 years ago, the organization’s name was inspired by a visit to Nigeria. Since then, the team has made three trips to identify key areas of need, particularly in Anambra State and beyond.

Bridging the Gap

“We saw ourselves as a bridge between the two communities,” said Marg Royle, Director of International Affairs. Nigeria’s English-speaking population and local church connections in New Jersey made it a natural partnership.

Empowering Nigerian Communities

The foundation’s outreach includes:

– Donating food, medical equipment, and solar equipment to schools, hospitals, and orphanages

– Providing 5,000 school books to local libraries

– Hosting mathematics competitions with prizes for winners and runners-up

– Organizing football competitions involving 15 schools

Next Stop: Makoko, Lagos

The foundation sets its sights on Makoko, a unique waterfront community where students commute to school by canoe. A needs assessment visit is planned to determine how to support this community.

Leadership and Support

Chief Emeka F. Molokwu is the driving force behind this initiative, supported by Prince Babatunde Kolawole, Chief Media Editor of Brooom Nigeria, for the Lagos Project.

“Bridge of Faith Foundation is committed to empowering Nigerian communities through education, healthcare, and economic development,” emphasized Douglas Taylor.
