In a well-attended ceremony at the All Progressives Congress (APC) Secretariat, Acme Road, Ikeja, the Executive Chairman of Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, Hon. Abdullahi Sesan Olowa was officially presented with the party flag, signifying his endorsement as the APC Chairmanship candidate for the July 12, 2025, local government elections.
The presentation, conducted by the APC state leadership, reaffirmed Hon. Olowa’s position as the party’s standard bearer and marked a key milestone in the party’s electoral journey.
In his acceptance, the Council Boss expressed heartfelt appreciation and pledged to continue to deliver a people-focused administration anchored on his S. H. I. E. E. L. D. Development Blueprint. with clear focus areas including healthcare, education, citizens’ welfare, infrastructural development, and revenue generation.
Though flags were not yet presented to the councillorship candidates, the party officially confirmed its full endorsement of the seven ward candidates, who are expected to receive their flags soon in a separate event
The ceremony witnessed the presence of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Taxation and Revenue, Hon. Opeyemi Ogungbo, S. A to the Governor on Energy and Mineral Resources, Hon. Abiola Olowu, Member representing Ibeju-Lekki Constituency 2 at the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Oladele Ajayi, members of the esteemed Apex Leadership of the party including Hon. Tansiru Shoniyi, Hon. Gbenga Balogun
Also in attendance were all APC councillorship candidates, Ward Chairmen alongside key representatives of youths and Women Leaders.
“The support shown today is humbling. This calls for more work and dedication as we approach the polls. It reminds me that leadership is a trust — one I intend to uphold with accountability, innovation, and fairness,” Olowa said.
With the official party flag in hand, Hon. Olowa is set to lead a robust, inclusive campaign toward a resounding APC victory on July 12, 2025.
