His Excellency Ambassador Dr. Jonathan Ojadah, GCOP, arrived in Kitui County on Sunday, October 19, ahead of his Presidential National Hero Award ceremony scheduled to take place at the State House, Nairobi.
The renowned diplomat was warmly received by His Excellency Mike Sonko, the former Governor of Nairobi City, who extended generous hospitality in honor of the visiting envoy. During the visit, Ambassador Ojadah was presented with his official regalia for the upcoming award and decoration ceremony to be presided over by the President of Kenya, His Excellency Dr. William Ruto.
Expressing his appreciation, Ambassador Ojadah said, “Kudos to my amazing friend, His Excellency Mike Sonko, for this wonderful hospitality.”
He also assured the public that he would share more videos and photos as the prestigious ceremony unfolds.
Earlier, Ambassador Ojadah had paid a condolence visit to Kenya, during which he was similarly received by the former Nairobi Governor—further underscoring the close diplomatic rapport and mutual respect between both leaders.
The forthcoming Presidential National Hero Award is expected to celebrate Ambassador Ojadah’s exceptional service, humanitarian impact, and commitment to fostering development and unity within Kenya and beyond.
