In a powerful display of Pan-African solidarity and visionary leadership, Ambassador Jonathan Ojadah of Nigeria has been conferred the National Hero of Peace Medal—one of Kenya’s highest honors for contributions to peace and diplomacy.
The historic award ceremony took place in Nairobi, where President William Ruto of Kenya and President Bassirou Diomaye Faye of Senegal came together in a rare joint appearance to bestow the honor. Their united gesture signaled not just recognition of Ambassador Ojadah’s achievements, but a renewed continental commitment to peace, unity, and collaboration.
Ambassador Ojadah, a globally respected peace advocate and holder of the Grand Commander of Peace (GCOP) title, has been instrumental in shaping dialogue-driven solutions to conflict and promoting cross-border cooperation across Africa.
To commemorate this milestone, an exclusive banquet dinner reception will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at Nairobi Safari Club Hotel, City Centre, Nairobi, Kenya
The event to be hosted by H.E. Mike Sonko, former Nairobi Governor, will bring together prominent African figures including John CW, Mama Sophie, diplomats, cultural leaders, and international guests — celebrating not just one man, but a shared vision of a peaceful, united Africa.
This honor marks a defining moment not only for Ambassador Ojadah but for African diplomacy at large — a reminder that peace is possible when bold leadership meets collective will.
