Dear beloved brothers and sisters,
Young and old, today’s message is a divine reminder that true love for God is best demonstrated through humble service to others. In a world where many profess faith, it is through action that our love for God is made visible.

💖 1. Jesus: Our Perfect Example of Loving Service
Let us begin with the perfect example—Jesus Christ.
> “For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”
— Mark 10:45 (ESV)
Jesus, though He is the King of kings, knelt down to wash His disciples’ feet (John 13:5). He healed the sick, fed the hungry, and forgave the lost. His life was a daily act of love in service to others. If we truly follow Him, we must also serve with love.

👧🏽👵🏽 2. Young and Old: All Can Serve
You are never too young or too old to serve God.
Young Samuel served in the temple under Eli (1 Samuel 3). God called him while he was still a child, and he responded with a servant’s heart:
> “Speak, Lord, for your servant is listening.” — 1 Samuel 3:10
Anna the prophetess, an elderly widow, served day and night in the temple with fasting and prayer (Luke 2:36–37). Age is no barrier to service!

🌱 3. Love That Works
> “Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.”
— 1 John 3:18 (NIV)
We don’t just say we love God—we show it by:
Helping the needy
Encouraging the discouraged
Giving generously
Forgiving quickly
Praying for others
Using our talents for God’s glory

🙌🏽 4. When You Serve Others, You Serve God
> “Whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
— Matthew 25:40 (NIV)
Jesus teaches that even the smallest acts—giving a drink, visiting the sick, clothing the naked—are counted as service to Him. Whether you’re sweeping the church floor or mentoring a troubled teen, you are serving God.

🔥 5. Serve with Joy and Faithfulness
> “Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.”
— Romans 12:11 (NLT)
Let our service not be out of duty, but overflowing from a heart full of gratitude. Young ones, serve in your schools and homes. Elders, lead by example with kindness and wisdom.

🙏🏽 Closing Encouragement
This week, ask yourself:
👉 How can I show my love for God today?
👉 Whom can I serve joyfully this week?
Let us be like Christ, whose entire life was love in action. May the world see God through how we serve.
Prayer:
“Lord, teach us to love like You—through service, through sacrifice, and through sincerity. Whether young or old, may we be willing vessels, ready to do Your will with joyful hearts. Amen.”
Go forth and serve with love.
God is glorified when His children live like Jesus.
