In continuation of his avowed commitment to transforming Oshodi-Isolo local government area and delivering the dividends of democracy to every nook and cranny of the council, the Executive Chairman of the council, Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede, has mobilized contractors and commenced the rehabilitation of Igbehinadun Street.
The street is one of the longest in the council area and, in completion, will further enhance movement of goods and services.
Residents woke up to the sound of caterpillar grading the road, in fulfillment of the promise made by the chairman during the flag-off of the Oshodi Road reconstruction work project. At that time, Otunba Almaroof-Oloyede assured residents that Igbehinadun Street would be the next stop once Oshodi Road was completed. True to his word, work has commenced and will be completed on record time.
An elated resident, Mr. Fatai Olawale, expressed his gratitude to the chairman, saying: “It was the sound of the trailer that woke me up and I’m thrilled. May God continue to bless you.”
Another business owner, Mrs. Fausat Ibrahim, popularly known as Iya Saida, also showered prayers on the chairman, his family, and his team. She stated; “The bad road had been negatively affecting our businesses. When he started Oshodi Road and promised that his next stop would be Igbehinadun Street, we began praying for him. Now that he’s here, may God elongate his life and that of his family.”
