His journey then led him to Iddo/International Plastics as Deputy Manager, Planning and Coordination, and later to Michelin Tyres Services Company, where he rose through the ranks to become Senior Manager, Product Advert and Market Intelligence. This role afforded him extensive local and international exposure, sharpening his strategic and marketing expertise.
In 2007, Sir Akinwumi transitioned into entrepreneurship, establishing Celluxpress Nigeria Limited, which thrived in the rapidly growing mobile technology market. By 2014, he expanded into Logistics Consultancy with Transport Services Limited (TSL), demonstrating his ability to adapt and innovate across sectors.
