The Enugu State Police Command, in collaboration with the Ministry of Gender Affairs, has arrested all key individuals involved in the unlawful marriage of a 13 year-old girl in Amufie, Enugu Ezike, Igbo-Eze North LGA.

Among those arrested are the underaged girl, her husband, her parents, and a certain woman identified as Ezenwanyi, who reportedly played a central role in facilitating the marriage.

In a statement on Thursday, The Concerned Igbo-Eze North Youth (CINY) commended the swift response of the Enugu State Government, the Ministry of Gender Affairs, and the Nigeria Police Force for heeding the public outcry and taking prompt action.
