Stop the Provocation, Respect Party Unity – BOA Camp Tells Bola Oyebamiji Group

The political camp of Benedict Olugboyega Alabi (BOA) has issued a strong warning to the Bola Oyebamiji Group (BOG) over what it described as an act of provocation and political immaturity. The warning follows an incident during a recent political engagement at Ward 06, Irewole Local Government, Ikire, where members of BOG allegedly condemned another aspirant in a public gathering.

According to the BOA team, the behavior exhibited by the BOG during the event was highly irresponsible, describing it as an act driven by eye-service and desperation to gain favor. The group emphasized that such actions are uncalled for and reflect a lack of political decorum, stressing that respect for fellow aspirants within the same party is a fundamental principle of internal democracy.

The BOA camp reaffirmed its commitment to peaceful engagement and issue-based politics, stating that it would not be drawn into social media battles or character assassination. However, they cautioned that failure by leaders of the Bola Oyebamiji Group to rein in their supporters could signal that the legacy they claim to uphold is built on deceit and division.

Furthermore, the group hinted at past grievances, alleging that BOA was unfairly treated during Oyebamiji’s tenure as Commissioner for Finance. “If we were to react to the injustices suffered under AMBO’s administration, it could shake the foundation of the party,” the statement read. “But we have chosen peace over bitterness, placing our hope in God and the people.”

The BOA camp therefore urged the Bola Oyebamiji Group to focus on promoting their candidate without resorting to attacks on others. “Politics should be about ideas, development, and unity, not needless confrontation. We warn: do not push other aspirants to the wall you may not like the outcome,” the statement concluded.
