FORGED SIGNATURE SCANDAL: KOGI APPOINTEE ARRESTED AND SACKED

Kogi State appointee, Honorable Ibrahim Muhammed Ayuba Nana, from Ankpa Local Government, who was Special Adviser on Security, Ankpa Federal Constituency, was recently arrested and dismissed for allegedly forging the signature of the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Dr. Mrs. Folashade Arike Ayoade. The incident unfolded when Ayuba Nana wrote a letter to the Nigerian Immigration Service requesting an International passport, using the SSG’s forged signature.

 

The Immigration Service, contacted the SSG’s office and confirmed the forgery. While Nana was apprehended by the Immigration Service and handed over to the Police for prosecution according to the law. The appointee was immediately relieved of his positions and now facing potential forgery charges.

Speaking to a top State official, who pleaded anonymity, he said The Kogi State government emphasizes the importance of transparency and accountability in all official matters, and is already taking appropriate action against any misconduct to maintain the integrity of its operations and ensure public trust in governmental institutions.
