POCACOV Southwest Launches Intensified Campaign Against Crime with Landmark Road Walk

Lagos, Nigeria — In a bold move to tackle the rising tide of social vices and crime across the Southwest region, the Police Campaign Against Cultism and Other Vices (POCACOV) is set to launch a massive grassroots mobilization under the theme:

“Peace, Love, and Unity Movement Against All Crimes in the Southwest.”

 

Slated for Thursday, July 31, 2025, the campaign will feature a Massive Road Walk (Motorcade) through key streets and communities across Lagos, uniting the voices and efforts of security agencies, youth leaders, NGOs, and citizens under one mission — to restore peace, reclaim our streets, and rebuild communities.

Key Issues in Focus:

Other societal vices eroding the fabric of our communities

 

 

The campaign aims to redirect young minds from crime, create awareness, and foster collaborative community policing models that empower citizens to take active roles in crime prevention.

 

Road Walk Route:

 

The walk will commence at the Lagos State Police Command Headquarters and proceed through:

Computer Village → Medical Road → Airport Road → Bolade Oshodi → Oshodi Under Bridge → Mushin Market → Idioro Market → Ojuelegba (Area C Command) → CMS (Apongbon) → Marina-CMS → Zone 2 Police Command

 

Dress Code: White T-shirt and Black trousers

Kickoff Time: 8:00 AM prompt

 

Security & Civic Partners Include:

 

Nigeria Police Force, CIA Operatives, NDLEA, ICPC, FRSC, LASTMA, Lagos Neighborhood Watch, DSS, Vigilante Groups, Boys Brigade, NURTW, RTEAN, Lagos State Fire & Ambulance Services, Man O’ War, and several Registered NGOs and corporate bodies.

 

Speaking on the initiative,

 

Amb. (Det.) Samuel Eniola Adam, POCACOV Southwest Chairman and ECAPI President, emphasized:

 

> “This is more than a campaign — it is a call to action. We are building a movement of peace, love, and unity to take our youth back from the clutches of crime and societal decay. We call on all to join us as champions for a safer Southwest.”
