A significant breakthrough has been achieved in the ongoing political impasse in Rivers State, following a two-day peace meeting held between Wednesday and Thursday.
The gathering, facilitated by Nigeria’s President Ahmed Bola Tinubu, at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, brought together key stakeholders, including Federal Capital Territory Minister Dr. Nyesom Wike, Rivers State Governor Siminialayi Joseph Fubara, National Assembly members, Rivers State House of Assembly members, Rivers Elders Statesmen, Chairmen of Rivers State Chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (#PDP) and the All Progressive Congress (#APC).
